I have recently read an interesting study from the USA which looked at the sale of hearing aids and personal hearing amplifiers (which are hearing aids but for the name and called such to avoid falling foul of FDA regulations governing the sale of hearing aids in the US). In the study, the particular focus was on the sale of hearing aids online rather than through a face to face consultation. It was carried out by the recognised global leader in hearing aid research Sergei Kochkin. Presently I am into my 4th hearing aid. I had in the ear and behind the ear. The one I have is a digital hearing aid in the ear. It was very expensive. I am now thinking of replacing it with one behind the ear as I already have a tailor made mould for it. I found the inside the ear hearing hearing aids to be very delicate as my ears tend to produce wax. Also I live in Malta where it can get very hot and humid in Summer. My first query is do you ship to Malta? Second query, as hearing aids are very delicate and in my experience need regular repairs or cleaning, how will I be able to service a hearing aid bought online from your online store?
