30 Day Money Back Guarantee
This entry was posted on 22nd September 2015 by Gary.
The choice of hearing aids and why one would choose to pay for one is something we are asked about regularly. Hearing aid cost is a common talking point and at HearingDirect.com we strive to bring to you an affordable selection of high-quality hearing aids.
Most people come to us knowing they can obtain a hearing aid free of charge from the NHS (and indeed some have already done so) but are looking for more choice, more technological features and further options to weigh up before making that choice.
There are three main ways to obtain a hearing aid in the UK:
• From the NHS (see blog post on NHS hearing aids) - Free
• From a high street retailer - £300 to £4,000
• From HearingDirect (other e-tailers may be available!) - Our range starts from as little as £99
Broadly speaking, our (perhaps bias) view is that if one is considering a private hearing aid, then it would be worth trying one from our range on a full 30 day money back guarantee, safe in the knowledge that if it doesn’t work for you, the more expensive high street option remains available. There is no doubt that some may need or prefer a face to face consultation and process when choosing a hearing aid. Quite understandably, this is a more costly service to provide and therefore the price of the hearing aid reflects these costs. Ultimately, it comes down to perceived benefit – no matter how the hearing aid is obtained and whether you have paid nothing or £4,000 for it, it is about whether it represents value to you and whether it actually helps you hear better.

If your hearing and subsequent quality of life could be improved by a hearing aid (which is the primary purpose in obtaining one) and this can be achieved without parting with large sums of money, it would seem to be a logical choice. Whether it is free from the NHS or bought from HearingDirect.com these more inexpensive choices do not preclude other future options. Can the same be said elsewhere? In some cases, yes, but at this point, a word of warning about some money back guarantees offered – do read the small print to ensure that there is no administration, cancellation or restocking charge. In some cases, these charges can be the same or greater than our hearing aid prices which mean you will have spent the money you could have used to try something from our range and have nothing to show for it.
The choice of hearing aids and the price charged can therefore, become a personal one as regards value for money and one thing we can promise at HearingDirect – if you don’t think our hearing aids represent value for money then we promise we won’t keep any of it!

Hi Hayri, How long do hearing aid batteries last will depend on the model, type of use and other factors. We have addressed these factors on the blog here. Each of Freehearingtest's hearing aid is supplied with one pair of batteries. These are available to purchase from the store when you require more. Thank you again.
