The Phonak Naida Q90
The Phonak Naida range; innovatively designed to maximise your hearing capability.
In order to keep at the forefront of technological advancement, Phonak in 2013 introduced a brand new range of Hearing Aids, known as the Naida Q. Within this portfolio, the Q90, is the most superior model, sporting greater power, enhanced processing speed and enriched quality of overall sound. The Naida S9 has been superseded by the new and exciting Q90.
So why consider the Q90 as an option?
The ‘Q’ stands for Phonak’s new platform known as Quest sound technology, which in turn has led to the creation of a number of Binaural VoiceStream features, all of which are included in the top of the range Q90. This basically means that your hearing aids are designed to communicate wirelessly with each other, sharing and integrating information, resulting in an enhanced hearing experience.
You can customise your hearing aid to suite you. There are three different styles available, all of which come with a choice of subtle colours to match skin tone or your hair, as well as a vibrant colour palette to reflect your personality. All three options are water resistant and include wireless capability, FM and Telecoil features.
· Naida Q-RIC – an aesthetically pleasing Receiver-in-Canal power hearing aid.
· Naida Q-SP – a Behind the Ear hearing aid, with the option of a slim tube, providing subtly and comfort.
· Naida Q-UP – a Behind the Ear design, with a longer battery life, it offers extra power when needed most.
Speech in wind – a feature designed to help you hold a discussion, regardless of the weather.
Auto StereoZoom – self-regulates, allowing you to focus upon a conversation, by blocking out annoying background noise.
Acclimatisation Manager – automatically adjusts the amplification levels of your Q90, leaving you confident of your hearing, what ever the environment. Manual adjustments can also be made when necessary.
Auto ZoomControl – is essential when it is not always possible to face the person you are speaking to. This could be when you are travelling by car or going for a stroll. It means the Q90 can now adjust and focus on sound all around you, enabling you to hear easily, regardless of where you are looking.
Twenty sound frequency channels – means that your Q90 can be specifically programmed taking into account your hearing requirements.
WhistleBlock – designed to eliminate annoying feedback.
SoundRecover – helps you to hear high frequency sounds.
NoiseBlock – reduces background noise, making it easier to decipher speech.
EchoBlock – prevents sound distortion in places such as large buildings.
SoundRelax – distinguishes and reduces loud noise, to maintain maximum hearing comfort.
Compatible wireless accessories:
· ComPilot – normally worn around your neck, this device streams sound directly into your hearing aids.
· TV Link S – a television transmitter and charger for the ComPilot.
· MyPilot – a remote control complete with a touch display screen.
· PilotOne – a standard remote control.
For those with a more severe hearing loss, the Q90 is worth some serious consideration. It is the most advanced and powerful model in the Phonak Naida Q range, offering innovative technology, a high level of comfort and extra power for those who need it most. Water resistant, fully wireless, with a choice of styles and colours, the Q90 could be a key solution to your hearing requirements.
If you like the sound of the technology on offer with the Phonak Naida range, but have a restricted budget, why not look at the Phonak Naida Q30, Phonak Naida Q50 or the Phonak Naida Q70. If however, you like the idea of the new Quest chip sound technology, but don’t feel you need the additional power provided with the Phonak Naida Q range, it may be worth you checking out the Bolero Q70, the Virto Q70 and the Audeo Q70.
