Initialising the Hearing Check…
If you think you you may be suffering from hearing loss, then you should check your hearing as soon as possible. If the test results show that you have some hearing loss, then we hope this will encourage you to take action. You can prevent further damage to your hearing by getting the right advice early on.
Our free hearing test should not replace regular audiometric testing. A licensed medical practitioner will be able to refer you to a a hearing care professional or audiologist for detailed hearing analysis.
Digital hearing aids and amplified items can be the steps to better hearing.
A hearing test is designed to identify how well you can hear different tones, frequencies and volumes, the elements that make up your hearing. The test plays a set of tones at various frequencies and volumes. You respond as soon as you hear a tone by pressing a button. The test records the responses and at the end you will see an audiogram. This is a graph showing the ability of each ear to hear sounds.
Our hearing test takes a few moments and you can discuss the results with our audiologist or your specialist. Click on the button above to start.
Our online hearing test only takes three minutes and you can take it right now. You only need to enter a few details such as age and gender, plug in a set of headphones and then you're ready to start. You will get your results straight away and they will show if you should take further action. Professional hearing tests may take longer due to the extensive nature of a checkup.
The Freehearingtest hearing check is free. You can take it in the comfort of your own home. All you will need is an internet connection, earphones, and an email address so you can get your results for free. Proper clinical evaluations from a health care professional may cost.
The hearing test will check for hearing loss by playing a set of sounds. During the test, you will have to react to the varying tones. Based on your ability to hear the sounds, test results will show if you should seek medical guidance.
The more sounds you identify, the higher the level of the audiogram at the end of the test. This means that you are less likely to have a hearing impairment. Low points in the graph show that you may need to review your hearing. An audiologist will be able to conduct further tests and provide professional advice on what to do next.
Anybody can take a hearing test. If you find it difficult to hear, you can take our online hearing test to see if you could be suffering from hearing loss. Our advice is that you check your hearing regularly, even more so as we get older to watch out for age-related hearing loss.
This check is not designed for use by children. Children should always see a doctor, who will refer the child for full diagnostic testing if there are any concerns over their hearing.
You have completed our hearing loss test and received your results. The graph may show that you need your hearing checked professionally. Once fully diagnosed we can help you find the right hearing aid and hearing aid accessories for your hearing loss.
